About Me

Image of Sharlyn Ayotte with guide dog "Bizet"As a global leader in the provision of alternate format communication solutions, T-Base Communications is increasingly focused on guiding our customers on designing service delivery with access in mind, ensuring that products and services are inclusive, accessible, and usable by everyone and that they understand the issues with respect to independent, secure and private access to information.

I created this blog because I believe in dialogue with our partners, clients, and their customer - the end consumer. I chose to name this blog Blind Ambition because it represents my personal history as blind entrepreneur, (which can be read on my first post dated January 10, 2008), with the objective of bridging the gap between organizations and their blind, partially sighted and deafblind consumers in a welcomed exchange of perspective.

When I think of ambition, among many things, it brings to mind words such as goals, wishes and hope. It is my goal to bring organizations and consumers together to engage in healthy exchange about accessible product and service delivery. It is my wish that like-minded individuals can contribute and learn about important and emerging issues and opportunities.  It is my hope that both can derive and provide important benefits from exchanges of perspective.

I invite seniors, blind, partially sighted and deafblind consumers, as well as corporate organizations dealing with issues around accessible service delivery to contribute by comment.
