CNIB delivers programs and services that help people overcome the challenges of sight loss, increase their independence, and achieve their goals.
BANA - Braille Authority of North America
T-Base is proud to be the first and only privately held alternate format company to be accepted as an associate member of BANA, and as such, our software and continuous training methodology is designed to meet BANA standards that are regularly updated in response to implemented changes.
Braille Literacy Canada
T-Base is proud to support organizations who are committed to braille promotion and the right of braille users to equal access to printed information.
AEBC - The Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians
T-Base fully supports and collaborates with members of AEBC, whose mission is to increase awareness of rights and responsibilities, so blind, low vision and print disabled individuals can have equal access to the benefits and opportunities of society.
T-Base Communications is also a Friend of the DAISY Consortium. The DAISY Consortium is an international association that develops and maintains international DAISY (Digital Accessible Information System) standards for Digital Talking Books since 1996. The DAISY Consortium has been actively promoting these standards, which have revolutionized the reading experience for people who prefer alternate formats, in navigable audio format.
NIMAC - National Instructional Materials Access Center
T-Base is a recognized AMP (Accessible Media Producer) that creates fully-accessible specialized, student-ready formats, and produces the required format from a NIMAS file. NIMAC is a federally-funded, national electronic file repository that makes National Instructional Materials Accessibility Standard (NIMAS) files available for the production of core print instructional materials in specialized formats. Created under IDEA 2004, the NIMAC receives source files in NIMAS format from textbook publishers.
T-Base is proud to be a member of the PDF Association to help promote the adoption and implementation of International Standards for PDF technology. The PDF Association exists to provide software vendors with information and resources on the various International Standards for PDF to help them make the most of their investment in PDF technology.
