William P. Egan, Board Member
Having extensive experience in information technology, life sciences, and communications industries, Bill is an integral contributor to the strategy of T-Base Communications.
Past operating roles include Founder and General Partner of Alta Communications, Marion Equity Partners, and founder of Alta’s predecessor firm, Burr Egan, Deleage & Co. where he identified and backed several of America’s leading growth companies. In addition, Bill began his career as a Manager of Venture Capital for New England Enterprise Capital Corporation. He then continued to help build and grow the National Venture Capital Association as President and Chairman.
Bill has held numerous board and trustee positions including Trustee of Fairfield University, Board of Overseers of the Wharton School, Trustee of the University of Pennsylvania, Board of CRH plc, and a number of privately held companies. He earned his degree in Economics at Fairfield University and an MBA from The Wharton School
Kent Weaver, Board Member
Kent has held several senior roles in management, consulting, and is currently an active board member that has positioned him to be a key contributor for T-Base Communications. He assumed the role as a member of the board in 2014 while currently being active in other senior executive positions such as Chairman and CEO of Progressive Home Care, a Northern California-based health care company.
Prior to his role on the Board of Directors for T-Base Communications, Kent held executive positions in marketing and product management for a VC-backed marketing automation start-up, as a regional CFO and business analyst in Pepsico’s Pizza Hut Division, as a management consultant at Ernst & Young, and as an investor at Gestalt Equity Partners.
In addition to his role on the Board of Directors for T-Base Communications, he also sits on the board for VRI, Discovery Outsourcing, Data Fusion Technologies, Onesource Water, Integra Partners, and Healthwyse. Kent holds an MBA from the University of California and a BS in finance from the University of Southern California.
Dave Longbottom, Board Member
Dave is a customer-focused executive with over 25 years' of technology management experience. Dave joined the T-Base board in 2005 and has been instrumental in driving the company forward. Dave has a long track record helping companies grow and develop, as an investor board member, and active advisor. Beyond T-Base, Dave is involved in other ventures including Therapeutic Monitoring Systems (board member), and Studio Sixty Six (managing advisor). Previous board roles include GridIron Software (Chairman), Zeligsoft (Chairman), and Openera (board member) amongst others. Dave holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Queen's University and a US technology patent for fault tolerant networking.
Past operating roles include President and CEO of Chrysalis-ITS, where he successfully turned around the failing security appliance maker, attracting an acquisition by Rainbow/Safenet (NASDAQ:SFNT, now private) in late 2003. Prior to joining Chrysalis, he helped SpeechFront, a speech recognition application company, raise financing and develop their go-to-market strategy resulting in an acquisition offer from Nuance (NASDAQ: NUAN) after only 6 months of operation. Between 1995 and 2000, Dave helped to build and grow ObjecTime, a leader in advanced software development tools, serving first as Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, and ultimately COO. ObjecTime completed a successful combination with market gorilla Rational Software (NASDAQ: RATL, now IBM) in early 2000. Prior to this, he held positions of increasing scope and responsibility at BNR/Nortel across a range of functions including software development, product management, marketing and sales.
