Celebrating Canada's Best Diversity Employers

Recently announced were the competition winners of Canada's Best Diversity Employers, highlighting the nation's top 35 organizations acknowledged for their creation of diverse and inclusive workplaces.   
 
The selected employers were recognized for their outstanding initiatives and programs for employees from 5 main groups, one of which is persons with disabilities, and the focus ranges from the hiring, training and retention, to the implementation consultation of employees with disabilities.  
 
The full news release, which announces the 35 winners, also provides a brief description of the reason behind each organizations selection.     
 
As an employer of a diverse employee base, and an entrepreneur who provides accessible services to meet the needs of blind and partially sighted employees, I applaud these organizations for their commitment to voluntary diversity and inclusiveness, and for setting an exemplary precedent for all Canadian organizations.
