Did You Feel That?

We just had an Earthquake here in Ottawa – somewhere between 5.5 and 5.7 on the Richter scale. From what we can tell, the earthquake was felt across most of Ontario and the northern United States.

Our first priority was evacuating the building, counting all employees and ensuring that everyone was safe – and thankfully, everyone was safe and accounted for. We then checked the building and facilities for any damage. Again, nothing was damaged.

I am incredibly glad that there was no serious harm done here. In addition to excellent safety plans and evacuation procedures, recognizing the critical importance of clients’ uninterrupted communication with their customers, T-Base has a fully documented, audited and tested Disaster Recovery Plan to provide business continuity through a business resumption commitment.

Had the earthquake been more serious, our clients would receive continuous delivery to the highest standards without interruption or data compromise.

My heart goes out to anyone that was not as fortunate in escaping damage as we were. I understand some felt it more than others. I hope that you are all safe and sound.
