Production Specialist (Ogdensburg Office)

Position: Production Specialist
Status: Full Time (Multiple Positions Available)
Location: Ogdensburg, NY.

T-Base Communications is the North American leader in design, production and delivery of accessible statements, documents and online services for our customers in the financial, telecom, healthcare government and education markets. T-Base transforms customer communication materials into braille, large print, e-text, audio as well as formats for online delivery such as accessible PDF for web accessibility. Production Specialist

The Production Specialist is a member of the Production Department and is responsible for the daily print production, document reproduction, packaging and shipment of alternate format documents and statements for the blind and partially sighted community.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understanding Service Level Agreements (SLA) requirements for all customers, including required turnaround times and applicable document production standards
  • Ensuring that documents and statements sent to Production are reproduced in the appropriate format, reviewed for compliance with applicable Quality Standards, packaged and shipped in a timely manner, within customer SLA requirements
  • Operating binding and printing equipment
  • Operating manual and automated embossing equipment
  • Stuffing and packaging parcels
  • Receiving and shipping parcels
  • Reporting quality problems to the appropriate personnel for timely correction
  • Tracking time spent on specific transcription tasks in support of invoicing and human resources processes and through appropriate T-Base utilities, such as Big Time and JIRA
  • Communicating on a regular basis with members of other departments on the progress and status of specific jobs and assignments
  • Assisting in other areas of the US Operations to ensure the timely completion and distribution of customer statements, as directed by the US Production Manager, Senior US Operations Manager, or Senior Employees under the direction of the US Senior Operations Manager
  • Keeping current, with, and, diligently applying, applicable best practices for the production of documents and statements in alternative formats
  • As time permits, completing the Braille Certification Training and any other training as deemed appropriate to the effective performance of the job
  • Maintaining work area in a safe and clean fashion and following all health and safety policies and standards

Education, Experience & Security

  • A minimum completion of high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an office or production setting
  • Must pass screening results for general and criminal background checks, drug testing and credit history on an ongoing basis
  • Knowledge of Braille would be an asset
  • Hours of Work: The shift schedule will vary to meet customer demands and may include evenings and weekends

Processing Specialist (Ogdensburg Office)

Processing Specialist

Reporting to the Processing Manager, and working closely with a team of Processing Specialists this position is responsible for the daily processing and production of alternate format documents and statements for the blind and partially sighted community – primarily through the use of proprietary software for automated processing of statements in alternate formats. The position is also responsible for the daily coding of documents using T-Base
proprietary software and for supporting the work of other T-Base departments on an as needed basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Processing customer documents and statements using T-Base proprietary software for the automatic conversion of documents and statements into alternative formats in accordance with customer Service Level Agreements (S.L.A), Quality Standards and Work Instructions.
2. Completing the processing of documents and statements in accordance with customer specific Work Instructions.
3. Ensuring the efficient and accurate coding, proofing and production of alternate format documents.
4. Completing and distributing reconciliation and other reports to customers as required.
5. Understanding SLA requirements for all customers, including required turnaround times and download schedules.
6. Identifying processing deficiencies and bugs through diligent application of Quality Assurance processes and standards. Reporting all such deficiencies to T-Base Development staff in a timely manner with accurate and complete descriptions in JIRA or such other ticket-tracking utility implemented by T-Base. Coordinating deployment of bug fixes and similar functionality with T-Base Development staff.
7. Ensuring that processed documents and statements are sent to Production for timely printing and delivery and supporting the Production Department as needed.
8. Summarizing processing volumes and tracking time spent on specific customer tasks in support of invoicing and human resources processes and through appropriate T-Base utilities, such as JIRA.
9. Communicating on a regular basis with members of other departments, including the Development Department, on the progress and status of any maintenance associated with customer tools.
10. Assisting in other areas of the US Operations to ensure the timely completion and distribution of customer statements, as directed by the Manager or other senior staff in the office.
11. As time permits, completing the Braille Certification Training and any other training as deemed appropriate to the effective performance of the job.

Senior Account Executive (Canada or the U.S.)

Senior Account Executive

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with other colleagues within the Sales Team and other departments, the Senior Account Executive is responsible for managing key customer accounts for a specific sector and expanding the T-Base business throughout North America. This position provides an incredible opportunity to work with a high growth company that is the North American leader in audit, design, production and delivery of information in formats fully accessible to the blind, low vision, and print disabled customers, citizens and students. The successful candidate will be extremely entrepreneurial and excited by the opportunity to help build the business. The Senior Account Executive must have a proven track record selling to financial institutions, telecommunications companies, education, health care and/or print productions industries with the ability to build a strong network of contacts with fortune 100 companies in the financial, telecom or health care industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop sales strategy and target territory/verticals to align with annual business forecasts.
  2. Prospect, identify, develop, negotiate and close new customers.
  3. Develop and manage a pipeline of business to meet or exceed targets.
  4. Initiate new and ongoing sales process by scheduling appointments, making regular presentations; understanding account requirements.

Associate Auditor with Accessible360 (Canada)

Position: A360 Associate Auditor
Status: Full Time (Multiple Positions Available)
Location: Canada

Accessible360 provides accessibility audits, remediation support, and ongoing support and monitoring for companies large and small. Our diverse team brings a breadth of experience in accessibility, web development, marketing, sales, and technology that is focused on making websites and mobile apps more accessible for all people.

Associate Auditor

The Associate Auditor helps to identify issues with websites, mobile applications, and other digital assets for our customers, while also engaging in a four-week accessibility training program. While auditing, the Associate Auditor will test assigned pages or views against a checklist of common accessibility problems, and create an issue in the A360 issue tracking software for each identified failure. Previous accessibility experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Audit project pages/views against a defined checklist of issues – focusing first on color contrast
  • Accurately report identified issues in our issue tracker
  • Take screenshots illustrating identified issues
  • Attend training and shadowing sessions
  • Work with team members to understand project details, conduct audit and QA, and report findings to CSMs. Collaboration is key!

Knowledge Requirements

The following are the requirements for this position:

  • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Strong general software and web skills
  • Familiarity with the Google Chrome Inspector
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Self-starting, cooperative, detail-oriented person who thrives in a startup atmosphere

The following items are desirable, but not required:

  • An understanding of web-based accessibility issues
  • Javascript experience
  • Mobile development experience (iOS, Android, React Native, etc.)

Scheduling/Availability Requirements

  • Available a minimum of 20 hours per week

  • Ideally willing to work 30-40 hours if needed

Project Coordinator with Accessible360 (Canada)

Project Coordinator

In this position, you will be at the core of our day-to-day operations partnering closely with the Customer Success team to support both our services and sales teams. Specific tasks include project onboarding, status tracking, document reviews, client updates, and other related and changing tasks essential to our growing team.

Our ideal candidate is proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Docs and can quickly learn other related software such as Salesforce.com, time tracking tools, email campaign management systems and in-house project tracking systems. Accessibility Auditor with Accessible360 (Canada)

Position: A360 Accessibility Auditor

Our diverse team brings a breadth of experience in accessibility, web development, marketing, sales, and technology that is focused on making websites and mobile apps more accessible for all people.

Accessibility Auditor

In this position, you will be at the core of our day-to-day operations, helping identify issues with websites, mobile applications and other digital assets for our customers. You will also help with the ‘artistry’ of audits, helping our customers fix these issues in a way that is not only compliant but intuitive and usable. Once customers websites have been fixed you will help determine whether these efforts have brought these assets into compliance with website and other accessibility standards. You will confirm that the remediation was done in a way that is not only compliant but intuitive and usable. The ideal candidate for this position has a web development background with a strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.

Our teams typically consist of a pair of auditors. One auditor is doing the screen reader portion of the audit. This person is typically blind and technically proficient in order to identify issues found within a site. The other person is handling keyboard-only, color contrast and related accessibility issues. This person is also helping the screen reader auditor to identify other visual issues that may not be readily apparent.

Because we work in pairs, many of these skills can be in either auditor but do not necessarily need to be in both.

Skills & Qualifications

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

  • Proficient in HTML and CSS and some Javascript
  • Ability to quickly identify, replicate and report issues with fixes made on a web page and verify fixes
  • Ability to design and follow test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
  • Ability to document problems, using a tracking system, and report defects to auditors or remediators
  • Ability to monitor error resolution and track fixes
  • An understanding of the web development life cycle
  • Solid intuition for what constitutes a good user experience
  • Self-starter, cooperative, detail-oriented person who thrives in a startup atmosphere

Customer Success Manager

In this position you will help ensure clients are successful in their goal to become digitally accessible for all. As the primary point of contact for A360 clients, you will work both strategically and tactically with them to meet short-term milestones and long-term objectives. You will be at the core of our day-to-day operations collaborating with our services team and advocating for the client needs. You will leverage your account management, project management and resource planning skills.

Primary Responsibilities & Skills

As the Client relationship lead, you will embody the following:

  • Your Account Management skills:
    • Drive the retention of our valued customers throughout their accessibility journey.
    • Empathize with customers and care about solving their problems.
    • Collaborate with the internal services team to determine best solutions for client needs.
    • Have the ability to manage the challenges of balancing multiple client accounts and their challenges and objectives, while providing excellent proactive client service in a growing and changing environment.
    • Have the ability to work with many client and internal team members.
    • Drive contract renewals and identify opportunities to upsell A360 services.
    • Track renewal rates and related factors to better understand how our service can be improved for better retention.
    • Understand and communicate customer trends that could positively or negatively impact A360’s business.
  • Your Project Management/Resource Management skills:
    • Oversee translation of SOW/proposals into project plans / action items and that data is correctly entered into A360 systems for the project.
    • Understand the client processes and guide the client to a project plan incorporating the A360 milestones.

    • Collaborate closely with the Resource Manager to schedule resource needs and revise as client timing/priorities shift.
    • Monitor project estimates versus actuals to determine whether change orders or other actions are necessary.
    • Provide guidance for the internal services team on priorities.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (achieved or in progress) or equivalent demonstrated work experience
  • Project Management and Client Relationship Management experience
  • Experience working in a technical setting, specifically in web and/or mobile development
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and database management
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects/initiatives at once
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as contribute successfully within a fast-paced team environment

User Interface Web Designer with Accessible360 (Minneapolis, MN or Remote)

Position: User Interface Web Designer
Status: Contractor – 30-40 hours/week for 4-5 months starting ASAP

Accessible360 provides accessibility audits, remediation support, and ongoing support and monitoring for companies large and small. Our diverse team brings a breadth of experience in accessibility, web development, marketing, sales, and technology that is focused on making websites and mobile apps more accessible for all people.

User Interface Web Designer

We are looking for a mid to senior level UI Designer to help us continue to build out our purpose-built web-based project and issue management system, the A360 HUB. This fully-accessible system is used internally by A360, and by hundreds of our business customers. The system also includes a knowledge base, integrated help desk, site crawling, accessibility scanning and more.

The A360 HUB has a number of areas that have grown more complex over time and our customers could be better served with some usability improvements. We are looking for someone to analyze our existing functionality and propose easier, more intuitive ways to interact with complex situations. While this scope will focus on some key, heavily used areas of the application, we are hoping that we can apply some of the elements improved here across our application.

This is a great opportunity to help a small team make a real difference while providing unmatched digital accessibility exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of the A360 HUB application and various user roles
  • Analyze the workflow of key areas of our application that most impact both our internal team and business customers
  • Work closely with technical development staff, A360 accessibility auditors and customers to understand their perspectives
  • Develop implementable, iterative mockups, preferably in HTML with clean CSS
  • Be a creative, curious and passionate part of our culture

Background

The following are ideal abilities of this position:

  • Web-based user interface design background with complex applications
  • Ability and desire to share your knowledge with other developers and A360 staff
  • Ability to speak and write to both a technical and non-technical audience
  • Preferably some exposure to universal/accessible design
  • Preferably some experience with B2B applications
  • Preferably the ability to structure clean CSS that our developers can implement within our system
